Alpine enjoys less notoriety compared to more well-known places in San Diego County. It may not be as famous but the city offers loads to would-be residents. Boasting a very intimate, charming, small-town vibe, the area is composed of a relatively small population, which adds to the relaxed energy. If you think that the relatively small population translates to a less diverse community, that’s simply not accurate – the area is as diverse as most others in San Diego County.
“Scenic” is a great word to describe Alpine, being located in the Cuyamaca Mountains. It is also surrounded by the Cleveland National Forest. The area would seem like a secluded place judging from its description but having easy access to Interstate 8 affords residents a quick commute to San Diego for either work or play. Alpine simply offers residents access to the big city hustle and bustle while giving them a place with a quiet, small-town vibe to live in.
