Situated in southeastern California, Jamul is a small town in terms of population but not in terms of what it has to offer.
The town is best known for its casino, the formerly named Hollywood Casino, now known as Jamul Casino, is a destination all its own. Aside from the casino, Jamul is also home to the Steele Canyon Golf Club, and also offers skydiving and mountain climbing services.
Accessibility in Jamul is also top tier, with the recreation facilities all being within walking distance or a short drive away. Jamul is also less than 30 minutes away from Downtown San Diego, so if you are one to work in the city but would love to live somewhere less busy, then Jamul will be perfect for you.
Jamul is also one of the most diverse places you can live in San Diego. It has, on multiple occasions been ranked as one of the top towns for cultural diversity if you and your family are looking to be enriched culturally. As a result of this multiculturalism in the town, the food selection here is amazing and varied. There is the Prime Cut Steak House, and Burgers and Shakes, which offers traditional American fare. La Loteria De Jamul takes care of the more Latin cuisine, and there is even Hyshinu Ramen & Poke if you’ve got a craving for oriental food.
The neighborhood schools are reputable, to say the least, and some of the best in San Diego.
If you want to live in a safe and quiet place, where the community is warm and caring, while still having access to the city, buying a house in Jamul will be a safe bet.
