A unique area, to say the least, Valley Center might not be considered a city or even a town, but it still holds its own in terms of what it can offer.
Only a forty-five-minute drive away from downtown San Diego, this small community is nestled in the Northern part of San Diego County. Being relatively close to the center of the city, a lot of residents hold down jobs in San Diego City and just commute to and from Valley Center. There are a lot of communities dotting the area, a number of them are gated. One of the biggest upsides of Valley Center though is its very small population, making it a haven for people looking for peace, quiet, and more space.
Valley Center residents also have easy access to the Hellhole Canyon Open Space Preserve. The area has some parts open to the public, like the trailer park, an amphitheater, and 13 miles of trails. The preserve aims to be a haven for various animals, serving as a free and safe space they can roam in.
The area still has some great spots nearby to eat in despite being relatively small.
If you are longing for a more intimate and quiet area to live in, look no further, Valley Center might just be the place for you.
